Comet Pizza: The Best Pizza Experience in Hillside, NJ

I moved to north of New Jersey & I’ve been looking for some GOOD pizza and nothing beats COMET. It’s my brothers and my favorite pizza spot in New Jersey. Not a fancy place but EVERYTHING you get from here it’s delicious. I love their cheesesteak sandwich, mozzarella sticks (they’re huge) and the pizza. They use the most amazing sauce & cheese in their pizza. The owners are the most friendly people ever. Only bad thing is they don’t deliver & CASH ONLY, but I promise you after you try the pizza it is all going to be worth it

Comet pizza is a great dinner spot. The ambiance was so fun, everyone that works there is kind and attentive and just overall lovely to interact with. Pizza and food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place e to anyone looking for some good food and a good time!

To find such good pizza in this neighborhood with such friendly service is nothing short of a miracle. The prices are good. This is a solid 7.5 pizza. Enjoyable. Staff is friendly and you want to tip them. A good place for meal if you are in 5 mimes radius including Newark airport. You will definitely find a better and cheaper pizza if you are stranded in the airport and want to get out

I had lunch with my family today at Comets Pizza . I am so happy that this place reopened. I grew up in Hillside and lived in the area many years. I am so happy to be able to support a family owned local business. We ordered the plain pizza, chicken parm, pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni, and fried calamari. The food was good and friendly service. Good luck with your business and looking forward to coming back soon.

While it is excellent, excellence is a virtue that must be maintained, I think this team is up for the task. All in all Comet Pizza is my favorite thing since Russell Crowe screamed 'Are you not entertained?!' in the hit motion picture Gladiator back in 2000. I’d fight a tiger in the arena for their pepperoni pie. It’s pretty good! Definitely will come back!!!

Comet has re-opened with new owners. Pizza was very good very similar to how it used to be made. This is a classic style pizza that always hits the spot. They now also have garlic which they didnt have before and I look forward to trying them next time. Service was polite and friendly. I've attached a picture of their current menu as of June 2022... Not sure if that will be changing. Update 10 2022 Dropping 1 star... Pizza was still good however it has changed. I've noticed the past 2 orders the pizza has had a different dough consistency almost similar to a chain pizza place. Its good just not what I prefer.
